Rebecca Shorten and Hannah Scott from Northern Ireland both secured gold medals at the World Rowing Cup in Lucerne, with Shorten leading the Great Britain women's four to victory and Scott being part of the victorious GB women's quadruple sculls team. The GB boats are now unbeaten this season and will head to the Paris Olympics as favorites for the gold medal in their respective events. Additionally, Ireland clinched two bronze medals in the Olympic boat classes, with Aifric Keogh and Fiona Murtagh finishing third behind the Netherlands and Australia.
