During the Nationalist Party's 'Parliamentary Reform Briefing' in Sanchong, New Taipei City, lawmaker Hung Meng-Kai stated that everyone contributing to New Taipei is a great supporter, avoiding a direct answer about the 2026 elections. Concerning the investigation of MAC Chair Zheng Wen-Can, Hung emphasized the importance of a thorough investigation without bias and expects Zheng to clarify the situation with the public. He believes that regardless of political affiliation, any suspected violation of the law should be properly investigated. Regarding calls for Zheng's resignation, Hung defers to President Lai Ching-Te, who appointed Zheng, to decide and explain, emphasizing support for a fair investigation to provide transparency to the public.
