The Criminal Investigation Bureau recently received a notice from Singapore regarding over 1,800 people falling victim to downloading Trojan horse programs through Facebook ads, resulting in losses totaling approximately 743 million NTD. Taiwanese police apprehended 4 suspects in May, while Malaysian authorities caught 2 suspects in June. This marks the first cross-border crackdown on crime involving all three countries. The main suspect is still at large, and investigations are ongoing.
