Singapore Room Rental Controversy

Reported 8 months ago

A landlord in Singapore sparked a debate by offering a room for rent at SGD 730 per month (around NT$17,000) which included utilities but no bed, and the restriction that only females could rent. Sharp-eyed netizens noticed a reflection in the room's mirror of a topless man, raising safety concerns. The post was later deleted and rephrased as a 'female-only common room' offered by a Chinese landlord. Real estate consultants in Singapore shared differing opinions on landlords renting only to females, with one suggesting renters should inspect the property firsthand and trust their instincts.
