Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has obtained a S$643 million ($476 million) green loan to finance a 58 megawatt data centre in Singapore, with support from lenders including DBS Group and HSBC. This loan aims to align the company's climate objectives with the growing demands of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, as stated by CFO Arthur Lang. The new data centre, expected to be operational by 2026, will contribute to Singapore's digital economy while minimizing carbon emissions.
