Sisters from Car Accident in Changhua: 110th Day of Rescue Ends Hope of Going Home for Dragon Boat Festival

Reported 11 months ago

The two sisters involved in a car accident in Changhua have been in critical condition for 110 days with no signs of improvement, leading to slight atrophy in their limbs due to prolonged bed rest. Despite one sister briefly regaining consciousness after stem cell treatment, both sisters remain comatose with a Glasgow Coma Scale of 3. The younger sister has been transferred to another hospital for long-term care, while the older sister, although responsive in some aspects, still struggles with motor functions. Their family, especially their brother, expresses the unfulfilled wish for the sisters to wake up and come home to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Despite physical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatment, their situation remains grave.
