Sisters from Changhua Struck 4 Months Ago, Still in Coma with Hopes for Miracle

Reported 8 months ago

Two sisters from Changhua were hit by a car while crossing the street 4 months ago, and have been in a coma since then with a Glasgow Coma Scale of 3. Although their vital signs are stable, they remain unconscious and require breathing support. Despite showing signs of muscle atrophy due to long-term immobility, their family refuses to sign organ donation consent forms and hopes for a miraculous recovery. The older sister was briefly responsive before relapsing into a coma, while the younger sister has stayed unresponsive since admission to the hospital. The medical staff continue to provide rehabilitation and care, with the hospital and family holding onto the hope for a positive turn in their condition.
