Six prisoners with ties to the Islamic State (ISIS) recently hijacked two prison guards in a detention center in Rostov, southern Russia, demanding a car and passage to freedom in negotiations with authorities. These prisoners, some of whom have been convicted of terrorism-related crimes, broke through the window bars of their cells, entered a guard room, and took at least two guards hostage. The incident follows a terrorist attack in Moscow in March, claimed by ISIS-K, that left at least 137 dead and over a hundred injured.
