On June 29, 2024, Taiwan Television News reported that the Central Weather Bureau stated that due to the continuous southwest wind, temperatures are soaring with highs of 33 to 36 degrees across most counties and cities, except for Hsinchu City and offshore islands. The Meteorological Bureau issued high-temperature alerts for 18 counties and cities, with chances of temperatures above 36 degrees and thunderstorms in various areas. Rain is expected in the central and southern regions, while precautions for heatstroke are advised. Additionally, strong winds and possible heavy rains are forecasted in certain areas.
