On June 25th, 2024, most areas in Taiwan are expected to be partly cloudy to sunny, with daytime highs reaching 32 to 35 degrees in the eastern region and even hotter in the western region at 34 to 37 degrees. Afternoon showers are forecasted for northern Tainan and other mountainous areas, with a potential for heavy rain in the northern central mountainous regions. Meteorologist Lin De-en warns of a 'super summer' in the next two days due to the intensification of a Pacific high-pressure system, with temperatures peaking at 37 to 38 degrees in the mountainous or valley areas near Taipei. Lin advises people to minimize outdoor activities between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., use sunscreen, stay hydrated, and beware of heat-related illnesses.
