South Korea's SK Group announced that its memory manufacturer, SK Hynix, will invest approximately $75 billion by 2028 to strengthen the chip business, with a focus on AI development. The investment will mainly be directed towards High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), AI data centers, and AI voice assistants. SK Hynix recently reported a significant revenue increase in the first quarter, attributed to the high-profit HBM chips.
