SK Telecom's AI chip startup unit Sapeon Korea Inc. and rival Rebellions Inc. have agreed to combine their businesses to compete globally in the AI services industry. The two companies are conducting due diligence with a goal of finalizing details in the third quarter. Rebellions, valued at 880 billion won, was planning for an IPO in 2025, with the merger not affecting this plan.
