Skydance Media's deal to gain control of Paramount, by acquiring National Amusements which holds a majority of Paramount's voting shares, is poised to be finalized this weekend for $1.75 billion. The acquisition, if successful, would merge Skydance Media with the historic Hollywood studio Paramount Pictures, known for iconic films like 'Titanic' and 'The Godfather.' The deal includes a 45-day go-shop period for other bidders, with the deadline set before Paramount Global Chair Shari Redstone attends a prominent industry event in Sun Valley, Idaho.
