Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was shot multiple times on May 15th, made a full recovery and returned to work, inspecting the country's agricultural sector in a village in the southwest with Agriculture Minister Richard Takac. Fico, using a cane, emphasized maintaining the ban on 14 Ukrainian agricultural products to protect Slovakian agriculture. The shooter, a 71-year-old writer, had political motives, and Fico forgave him. Fico's leadership of the left-wing Direction – Social Democracy party has been controversial, with concerns over his stance on Ukraine and NATO.
