Recently, a silver car driving at only 48 kilometers per hour in the snow tunnel of National Freeway No. 5 caused a major traffic jam, prompting the highway police to fine the driver with a penalty of 3000 to 6000 New Taiwan Dollars. The police posted a photo on Facebook showing the slow car occupying the inside lane, far below the minimum speed limit of 70 kilometers per hour, reminding drivers to maintain appropriate safe distances and not to occupy the inside lanes, especially in the snow tunnel, to prevent traffic congestion.
