Reported 4 months ago

During the first round of the NCAA Championship, Virginia sophomore Ben James was penalized one stroke for slow play, ultimately costing him a shot at the individual title. Despite finishing in a six-way tie for runner-up, James missed a birdie putt that would have put him in contention for the championship. He spent time pleading his case to the NCAA after the penalty, but the result stood. James and his team moved on to face Auburn in the quarterfinals of match play.
