Smurfit Kappa completes merger with WestRock

Smurfit Kappa, a sustainable packaging company, has finalized its merger with WestRock, a folding paperboard box manufacturer. This merger has led to the formation of a new entity named Smurfit Westrock, with Smurfit Kappa shareholders owning 50.4% and WestRock shareholders holding 49.6% of the entity. The delisting of Smurfit Kappa shares from the premium segment of the Financial Conduct Authority's official list and the official list of Euronext Dublin has occurred, and Smurfit Westrock is now trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities.
