A Brazilian Rainbow Boa named Ronaldo, initially identified as male, lived alone for 9 years in the UK before unexpectedly giving birth to 14 offspring due to the rare phenomenon of parthenogenesis. Ronaldo was actually female, and the offspring were a result of parthenogenesis where embryos develop without fertilization. This unique event at the City of Portsmouth College has amazed caretakers and students alike, offering a rare opportunity for observation.
