In Taipei, a socialite surnamed Lu received 485 injections of Propofol, known as 'milk needle', recommended by Dr. Liu from a medical beauty clinic for sleep treatment but became addicted and disoriented. She sought 11.98 million NTD in compensation, but died during the lawsuit. Lu's mother continued the lawsuit, with the Taipei District Court initially ordering Dr. Liu to pay 6.32 million NTD, later reduced to 2 million NTD by the Taiwan High Court. Despite being self-funded, the court found Dr. Liu violated medical practices, causing harm, but reduced the compensation due to various factors.
