On June 15th in Pingtung City, a 20-year-old soldier surnamed Wang was drinking with friends at a shrimp-fishing establishment when an argument broke out with a 17-year-old teenager in the group leading to the teenager stabbing Wang with a concealed knife, causing fatal injuries to his limbs. While serving with the Army 333 Brigade, Wang was on vacation at the time. The Army's Eighth Corps expressed regret over the incident and dispatched senior officers to assist with the case. The teenager involved has been sent to juvenile court and is currently under containment. Further details of the case are being kept confidential by the police due to involving a minor.
