Sony's head of movies business, Tony Vinciquerra, highlighted Crunchyroll as a key growth driver for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), emphasizing its role in capitalizing on the global expansion of anime. With 13 million subscribers worldwide, Crunchyroll, along with Aniplex, positions Sony as a significant player in the anime market. Vinciquerra outlined plans for Crunchyroll's expansion in Southeast Asia and India through Amazon Channels, aiming to tap into the growing $60 billion anime market by 2030.
