South Africa had its first case of Monkeypox death last week, followed by another confirmed case on the next day which resulted in a fatality. The patient, a 38-year-old man who was an AIDS carrier, died on the same day of being diagnosed with Monkeypox. This marks the sixth Monkeypox case since May in South Africa, with two recorded deaths. Health officials express concerns over the local spread of Monkeypox in the country.
