A lithium battery factory in Hwaseong City, South Korea, caught fire on the morning of June 24, 2024. After extinguishing the flames, firefighters discovered 20 bodies at the scene. The factory was completely burnt, and the number of casualties may increase. Witnesses revealed that an explosion occurred in one of the battery units. The factory, named 'AriCell,' located in Hwaseong, had 23 people trapped inside, mostly foreign nationals. The search continues, with concerns of more injuries or fatalities.
