The Samsung Electronics union in South Korea has announced plans for a total strike starting next week due to significant disagreements in labor negotiations. With approximately 28,000 members, the union is demanding an additional day of paid annual leave and improvements to the performance bonus system. Despite previous unsuccessful negotiations since January, the union has now secured the right to strike until their demands are met. While the strike is expected to last for three days, Samsung Electronics, known for its automated production lines, might not be significantly impacted by the strike according to analysts.
