Three batches of South Korean chili powder were found to be in violation, prompting the Taiwan FDA to issue a one-month import ban on three importers with a history of violations. This decision was made in light of a total of 13 non-compliant batches of South Korean chili powder in the past six months. The affected chili powder contained excessive pesticide residues, which must now be recalled or destroyed according to regulations. The South Korean authorities have yet to respond to Taiwan FDA's inquiries, leading to the suspension of imports until a response is received.
