On June 18, the South Korean Medical Association initiated a collective strike action and held a large-scale rally in Seoul. The association president stated that if the government does not accept the doctors' demands, even 'community clinics' are set to begin an indefinite suspension of services starting from the 27th. The government has maintained a tough stance, threatening to crack down on medical institutions engaging in illegal closure for the strike. As the strike expands, more healthcare providers are joining in, affecting both large hospitals and general clinics.
