On June 29, 2024, the Southern Austronesian Youth Exchange Camp was held in Pingtung, organized by the Taoyuan Indigenous Development Foundation. The three-day, two-night camp aimed to facilitate exchange and learning opportunities between indigenous youth from Taoyuan and the Southern Austronesian youth, expanding the indigenous youth's international perspective and fostering understanding and respect for various cultures. Activities included visits to tribal areas, cultural exhibits, traditional crafts experiences, and learning about local industries. The event was highlighted as a way to enhance the competitiveness of indigenous youth in the workforce or entrepreneurship and connect them internationally.
