Recent severe convective weather in southern China has resulted in heavy rain for several days, causing flooding in multiple areas such as Wuping County in Fujian Province and Meizhou City in Guangdong Province. Despite official claims of ongoing rescue efforts, some victims have revealed that rescue work seemed to stop once the media left, sparking discussions online. In Fujian, as of June 19, 702,000 people were affected and significant economic losses were reported, with victims expressing frustration over what they perceive as government neglect in response to the disaster.
