Elon Musk's SpaceX has finalized a $17 billion deal with EchoStar for spectrum licenses to enhance its Starlink satellite network. The agreement involves up to $8.5 billion in cash and $8.5 billion in SpaceX stock, alongside $2 billion in interest payments on EchoStar's debt until November 2027. This long-term partnership will also allow EchoStar's Boost Mobile customers to access SpaceX's next-generation Starlink Direct to Cell service. The deal comes amid similar recent acquisitions, signaling progress in enhancing 5G coverage in the U.S.
