A Spanish court has ruled that Uefa and Fifa were wrong to ban clubs from joining the breakaway European Super League, stating that they were engaging in anti-competitive behavior and abusing their dominant position. The ruling was in response to a case brought by A22 Sports Management, the company behind the ESL, against Uefa, Fifa, Spain's La Liga, and the Spanish football federation. Despite this, both Uefa and La Liga clarified that the ruling did not signify an endorsement of the Super League or similar proposals, with Uefa adding that the ruling did not give approval for such projects.
