Spicy Noodles Cause Illness in Denmark and Popular Korean Product Pulled from Shelves

Reported 8 months ago

South Korea's Samyang's popular Buldak noodles face a setback in Denmark, as the food authorities there have requested a recall after at least 10 people reported feeling unwell, experiencing abdominal pain, and vomiting after consuming the extremely spicy noodles. The Danish Food Authority found that the chili content in the noodles exceeded expectations, raising concerns about potential health risks to consumers, especially minors and young people who might attempt spicy food challenges. Doctors have previously warned about the high salt content in the noodles and the risks of kidney stones from excessive consumption.
