Passengers on a Spirit Airlines flight from Jamaica to Florida were asked to prepare for a potential water emergency after a suspected mechanical issue on Flight NK270. The Airbus A321 returned safely to Montego Bay, and passengers were reassured that the mechanical problem did not compromise their safety. Despite the nerve-racking situation, guests deplaned normally, boarded a new flight to Fort Lauderdale, and arrived slightly delayed.
