A collapse occurred at the Spring and Autumn Cemetery in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, burying 30 tomb foundations under soil due to loose rocks and heavy rain. Family members urgently organized a team to excavate and rescue their ancestors for fear of not letting them rest in peace. The site's unstable condition and inclement weather have made the rescue operation challenging, with only 2 ancestors rescued so far, while about 50 to 60 remain buried. Ongoing discussions with authorities are aimed at finding the safest and quickest way to save the remaining ancestors.
