The Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival, known for its successful productions in previous years, is presenting Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece 'Tosca' in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Italian opera master's passing. Conductor Wu Yaoyu will lead the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra and an ensemble of renowned vocalists from Taiwan and abroad in two performances at Weiwuying Opera House on June 28 and 30. The opera, set in Rome in the early 1800s, weaves a story of love, political intrigue, and religious elements, engaging audiences with its rich melodies and orchestration, making it a beloved classic among opera enthusiasts globally.
