In the early morning, nearly 5,000 households in Taoyuan experienced a power outage due to a squirrel touching power lines, resulting in a high-voltage blackout in Zhongli District and Bade District. Taiwan Power Company dispatched personnel for emergency repairs, and power was restored to all affected households by 7:36 am. Similarly, Taoyuan Hospital also experienced a power outage yesterday morning due to a squirrel being electrocuted, causing a momentary pressure drop in the power supply. Both incidents were resolved through prompt actions by Taiwan Power Company.
