Starbucks Landlord Changes Hands with Future Potential for New Building Project

Reported 8 months ago

The Starbucks store in Keelung, known as one of the most beautiful Starbucks in Taiwan, was purchased by a developer for 110 million without a loan. After changing ownership earlier this year, a construction company, Shen Yang Construction, took over the property of 367.41 ping with a land size of 931.77 ping. The current plan seems to involve preparing for a residential development project as the Starbucks lease is expiring. With the rising property prices in the area, developers are eyeing the opportunity to launch new housing projects in the neighborhood, where prices have surged to 21-26 thousand per ping for existing buildings. The property's strategic location and the potential integration of adjacent residential lands may push the project's starting price to at least a three-figure amount.
