Stewart-Haas Racing to close operations at the end of the 2024 season

Reported 4 months ago

Stewart-Haas Racing, co-owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, will close its NASCAR operation at the end of the 2024 season. The decision was described as difficult and necessary due to the demanding nature of the sport and the owners' personal and business lives. The team, which has been successful since its formation in 2009, currently fields a four-car Cup team and two Xfinity Series teams. Despite the closure, the owners expressed pride in the wins, championships, culture, and friendships built throughout the years, and they will work to assist their employees in finding new opportunities beyond the 2024 race season.
