Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Zhang Yuqin recommends eating plenty of water spinach to help cool down and replenish potassium, as well as highlighting four hidden benefits of water spinach including clearing heat, reducing swelling, controlling cholesterol, and preventing anemia. Dr. Zhang suggests a daily intake of 100 to 200 grams of water spinach to avoid the risk of kidney stones and advises those with kidney function impairments to consume it in moderation.
