Investment firm Stonepeak will acquire a 40% stake in Woodside Energy's Louisiana LNG project, investing $5.7 billion in capital expenditures. The project, developed in phases, is awaiting a final investment decision and is expected to produce 27.6 million metric tons per annum of LNG once completed. Woodside will retain a 60% stake and is looking to further reduce its ownership by around 50%.
