On June 12, 2024, in Kaohsiung, a shocking street vigilante incident occurred where a man in black clothes and a white hat assaulted a woman in red with clogs, leading her to a heavily bruised and bloodied state. The assault stemmed from a dispute over a bar tab, with the man accusing the bar owner of overcharging. Police arrived at the scene, arrested the man on charges of assault and interference with freedom, and sent the injured woman to the hospital. Bystanders intervened to stop the assault and called the police, with the man being reported as irrational and aggressive during the attack.
