On June 30, 2024, a strong windstorm in Hsinchu City caused trees to touch Taipower's power lines, leading to a power outage for 3920 households in areas like Haibin Road, Tianfu Road, and Rongbin Road. Taipower personnel repaired the issue, and power was restored by 1:35 pm. The incident occurred around noon with power failures reported and immediately addressed.
