New Taipei City government provides subsidies for adding elevators in old apartments as a measure to help senior citizens facing difficulty climbing stairs. With simplified administrative procedures and quick assistance, 3 elevator projects have been completed and 2 are in progress so far this year. Residents have benefitted from the subsidy, making their homes more accessible. The highest subsidy amount is 3.4 million New Taiwan Dollars per case, and interested parties can seek assistance and information from the Urban Renewal Office of the city government.
