The civil group 'Mountain Sea Citizen Demolition Action' announced that they have received at least 36,000 signatures in the second phase of the campaign to recall Keelung Mayor Xie Guoliang, exceeding the recall threshold. The group plans to reach 40,000 signatures by the end of June and submit them for review to the Keelung City Election Commission on July 5. The city government has yet to respond to the matter. The campaigners look forward to reaching over 40,000 signatures with the support of the public, aiming to surpass the required 37,920 for submission.
