On June 25, 2024, around 7 PM, some areas in Changhua County experienced an unexpected power outage, leaving residents in darkness without warning. Taiwan Power Company reported that the outage was caused by damaged line switches due to heavy thunderstorms in the area, affecting 267 households along Dongxing Road in Xihu Town. Taiwan Power immediately dispatched personnel to repair the damage. The incident highlights the importance of being prepared for power outages during the summer months.
