Dr. Jiang suggests reducing sugar intake starting from daily diet habits to combat sugar addiction and its adverse health effects. He emphasizes the importance of limiting sugar intake as recommended by the World Health Organization to prevent health risks. Exceeding sugar intake, notably in beverages like bubble tea, can double the daily sugar intake limit, contributing to sugar addiction becoming a significant global health issue. Dr. Jiang highlights that sugar addiction, driven by the stimulation of dopamine receptors in the brain by sugar, can be treated successfully by lowering sugar consumption and desensitizing dopamine receptors over time, ultimately controlling sugar addiction for better health outcomes.
