Sumitomo Corp of Japan plans to spend approximately 881.7 billion yen (about $5.9 billion) to acquire SCSK, an IT service company, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. The company will initiate a tender offer at 5,700 yen per share, a 32% premium over SCSK's latest share price, and already holds a 50.49% stake in the firm.
