As temperatures soar in Taiwan, reaching a high of 45°C in some areas, several individuals have suffered from heat-related illnesses such as heatstroke and fainting due to the scorching weather. Doctors emphasize the importance of avoiding outdoor activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when UV rays are strongest and the risk of heatstroke is high. They advise staying hydrated, seeking shade, wearing protective gear, and seeking medical help promptly if experiencing symptoms of heat-related illnesses like dizziness, nausea, and weakness.
