Meteorologist Lin De-en has stated that the plum rain season in Taiwan has officially ended earlier than usual this year, marking the beginning of the upcoming typhoon season. With the changing environmental conditions and the strengthening of the southwest monsoon, the plum rain front gradually moves northward. This transition from the plum rain season to typhoon season typically starts in East Asia with areas like mainland China and Taiwan, followed by Japan and eventually Korea as the monsoon front progresses. This year, the plum rain season has ended earlier in Taiwan, signifying the imminent arrival of the typhoon season.
