Summer is Here! High Temperatures Expected to Soar above 36 Degrees after End of Plum Rain Season

Reported 8 months ago

After the end of the plum rain season, most regions have entered the peak of summer high temperatures. Taiwan officially came out of the rainy season as moisture decreased, transitioning to summer weather. The accumulated rainfall this year was 231.4 mm, only 60% of the historical average, resulting in fewer rainy days but bringing about 2.8 billion tons of water to the reservoir catchment areas across Taiwan. Water supply conditions appear optimistic, particularly benefiting regions like Tainan's Houbi district, known for a bountiful rice harvest, with farmers anticipating to continue planting rice in the coming months due to sufficient water supply from the plum rains.
