As the summer approaches, more university students in Taiwan are seeking part-time work to earn extra money. A recent survey by 104 Job Bank and the official Instagram channel for university students revealed an increase in job opportunities this year. Apart from traditional roles in the food and retail industries, there is a rise in part-time jobs related to AI, allowing students from non-STEM backgrounds to participate. Roles such as AI image annotation, engineering internships, and language model data organization are in high demand, regardless of the major. These opportunities offer a chance for students to gain practical AI experience and earn competitive wages in fields such as AI instruction, software development, and technical support. Some of the highest paying positions include AI instructors, iOS engineers, system maintenance/operators, and mechanical/electrical technicians/engineers. Fluency in English and Chinese is particularly beneficial for tasks involving AI development, such as image tagging, video annotation, and transcription.
